Interesting. Hum...
I wonder why in French both holidays have the same name.

So, Larry, if you were a French jewish, you wouldn't be insulted, as you would indeed celebrate Easter. Maybe you tell people though "Why, thanks, but it was last week!"

Ah, the Internet is indeed a wonderful thing.
It seems that "Paques" means "passage". For the jews: passage of the nile; for the chistians: passage from death to resurection.

But I think they are more related than that.
What we call the Jewish Easter (Passover), in the days where Christ lived (from what I read) started at sundown on the 14th day of Nissan and went on for 7 days after that.
Where the Chistian Easter is on the first sunday following the 14th day of Nissan.

Obviously both holidays are indeed related, but I don't quite get it yet. Will continue to read.
Interesting though.

Christians of the time were Jews that believed the Messiah had come there was no separation other ten that they still had the same things they had for century's

Jews that do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah do not celebrate Easter. Some Jews do accept He is the Messiah and do celebrate Easter.

Not my point, RPG.
My point is that Easter is the Christian Passover.
In some languages (such as French) they both have the same name.
And they both happen almost at the same time.
